HR Generalist

A client of ours here in Louisville, KY is hiring for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Generalist with extensive experience managing high-volume administrative and operational workflows within fast-paced business environments. Proven track record in meticulously preparing and maintaining employee documentation, resolving complex workplace and policy discrepancies, and managing rigid compliance and payroll deadlines with absolute precision. Exceptional at coordinating intricate onboarding/scheduling requests and maintaining seamless, empathetic communication between managers, staff, and external vendors to ensure organizational readiness. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive base salary and benefits package. salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM education: High School Responsibilities End-to-End Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Source, screen, and interview candidates for hourly and salaried roles, manage local job boards, and lead orientation/onboarding programs to ensure a seamless integration into company culture. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee concerns, conduct internal workplace investigations, partner with local managers on performance improvement plans (PIPs), and support employee retention initiatives. Compliance & Multi-State Labor Laws: Ensure day-to-day adherence to federal, state, and local regulations—including OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and Kentucky-specific labor standards—while maintaining audit-ready, confidential personnel records. Benefits & Payroll Administration Support: Coordinate local open enrollment, field daily employee benefits questions, track leave-of-absence requests, and assist finance/payroll teams with accurate hourly and exempt timekeeping data. HRIS & Data Maintenance: Manage and update employee records in systems like Workday, ADP, or BambooHR, generating routine reports on headcount, turnover metrics, and departmental HR data for local leadership. Role Requirements & Qualifications: Require a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience), 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, communication skills, and a preferred certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
