Leasing Consultant

Overview Leasing Consultant – Full‑time (40 hours per week), Columbia, MD 21044. Base pay range: $41,000–$57,000. Role The Leasing Consultant is a key member of the leasing team at AvalonBay Communities. Responsibilities include conducting personalized tours, generating leads, and managing the leasing process to deliver a high‑quality living experience. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and create a sense of community. Execute sales and marketing initiatives, including tailored outreach and social media campaigns. Follow up with prospective residents, sharing updates on floor plans and neighborhood highlights. Coordinate tours and lease negotiations to convert leads into residents. Collaborate with the team and work independently to meet leasing goals. Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 1‑2 years of experience in leasing, customer service, or related real‑estate field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with property‑management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team. Knowledge of fair housing regulations.
