Exciting Oncology RN Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Seeking a passionate RN with a minimum of 2 years of oncology-specific experience
- 1st-time travelers are welcome, and local candidates are accepted
- Essential Skills:
- Administer chemotherapy
- Central line experience required
- Required Certifications:
- BCLS
- ONS Chemo/Bio Card (A MUST!)
- Preferred Certification:
- OCN

Position Details:


- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:45 - 17:15)
- Ratios: 1:5
- Work Schedule: 40 hours offered
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- RTO: Up to 7 days max (no holidays)
- No call requirement
- Float between Matthews and Ballantyne Clinics (approximately 14.1 miles apart)
- Weekend Requirement: No weekends
- Patient Focus:
- Adults (18+)
- Hematology & Medical Oncology
- 10 infusion chairs available for social distancing

Unit Information:


- Systems Used: Pyxis, Epic, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
- Mixing techs/pharmacy handles all mixing
- Patient Age Group: Adults
- Orientation: 8 hours, varies by skill level; must be available for classes in the first week

Additional Information:


- Scrubs: Not provided; navy blue only
- Special Equipment: Ambulatory infusion pumps
- All RNs must bring their own stethoscope
