Responsibilities A Clinical Nurse II (CN II) demonstrates competent patient and family-centered care using the nursing process. The CN II will work with the interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based patient care, positive patient care experiences and quality outcomes in the professional nursing practice environment. Requirements Education and Work Experience: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam. BSN preferred. Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience. Must obtain 20 contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange. License Requirements: RN License. Certification Requirements: Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire. Specialty Certifications: PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, Angiography, Lung Center, McAuley Surgery Center – ACLS within 1 year of hire or 6 months of promotion. ED – ACLS within 6 months of hire/promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year. Mother/Baby, NICU/PEDS – NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion. Labor & Delivery – NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 1 year of hire. Telemetry – ACLS within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new grad. Chemotherapy Clinic (Outpatient Chemo) – ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification within 1 year of hire and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification within 2 years of hire. Age Specific Care Provided For: Neonates Pediatrics Adolescents Adults Geriatrics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize: Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel. Microsoft Outlook. Meditech. Epic. Performance Manager/NetLearning. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
