Key responsibilities include:Manage family law matters from intake through resolution, including:Divorce / matrimonial actionsChild custody and visitationChild support / spousal support (maintenance)Other Family Court proceedingsDraft and review legal documents: pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, affidavits, etc.Conduct legal research and develop case strategiesCommunicate clearly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelRegularly litigate, including hearings, trials, conferences, and other proceedings as neededWork collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support teams to deliver an excellent client experience Required qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school*Active license in good standing to practice in New York State *Strong client-service mindset and high ethical standardsHighly responsive to clients and skilled in communication, organization, and case managementAbility to work independently while contributing to a team Preferred (nice-to-have) experience Family law experience preferred, but strong candidates with a demonstrated desire for a career as a family law attorney will be consideredExperience managing a caseload with deadlines and performance metricsComfort with practice management technology and modern workflowsBillable hours structure Compensation & benefits Annual compensation: $90,000 – $170,000Structure: Base salary + percentage of billed fees, plus performance incentives. All attorneys in our office currently earn over $130,000 under this structure.
