Advanced Software Engineer

Software EngineerYou will report directly to our Director of Engineering, and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA (preferred) or Framingham, MA location on a Hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering projects by ensuring timely and successful deliveries of software projects and collaboration with business leaders to ensure they align with the overarching business objectives.ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopment and delivery of products working along with a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship on critical technology projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define project requirements and deliverablesDesign, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software solutions in accordance with project specifications.Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure the team adheres to best practices and efficient development methodologies, such as Agile.QualificationsYOU MUST HAVEBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another related field.4 years or more of experience in real-time embedded software development.3 Years or more of experience in C/C++, Assembly Programming Language3 years of more of experience and proficiency in Linux and embedded Linux developmentKnowledge in cybersecurity, privacy, and data retention regulations (GDPR, NDAA, ONVIF standards).WE VALUE6+ years of experience in software engineering and agile execution.Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.Expertise in driving the adoption of coding standards and identifying risks with mitigation solutions.Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.Passion for innovation and continuous learning.Experience with video streaming protocols (RTSP, RTP, ONVIF, WebRTC, HLS).Good knowledge of video codecs (H.264, H.265, MJPEG, AV1), streaming and compression standards: H.264, H.265/HEVC, MJPEG, AV1protocols (RTSP, RTP, RTMP, HLS, DASH), and transport standards.The annual base salary range for this position in MA is $145,000- $181,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
