Work Environment\n

This position operates within a supportive outpatient office setting, predominantly remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements. Our practice functions Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduled evening and weekend hours as part of a rotational shift. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments that evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, considering factors such as severity, frequency, and duration, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their distinct needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a person-centered care approach.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions including, but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), focusing on effective coping strategies for mood disorders.

• Educate and support clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to promote long-term management of their conditions.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Work in close partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest trends, research, and advancements concerning mood disorders to enhance intervention strategies and contribute to best practices in treatment.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless continuity of care.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities aimed at enhancing clinical skills specific to mood disorder treatment.

• Advocate for clients by promoting understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community, while ensuring their mental health needs are effectively communicated and met.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Clinical Mental Health Therapist will primarily support individuals dealing with various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Possession of a current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in the implementation of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology, facilitating effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Proven ability to achieve favorable outcomes in mood disorder treatment through effective therapeutic interventions and client engagement.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus and performance-based bonuses throughout your tenure.
