Job Opportunity: Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon

Our organization is looking to hire an Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation. The ideal candidate will have a background in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation. Responsibilities will primarily involve adult liver and kidney transplants, with a significant emphasis on minimally invasive nephrectomy. Additional duties may include performing general surgery procedures on transplant patients and potentially engaging in hepatobiliary surgery. A commitment to undergraduate and graduate medical education is also essential.

Applicants must be board eligible or certified in general surgery and hold a valid medical license in Illinois prior to their start date. Candidates should have completed an ASTS-approved fellowship and fulfill UNOS criteria for liver and kidney transplant surgeons. Familiarity with UNOS criteria for pancreas transplantation is a plus. The selected candidate will be expected to engage in clinical care, teaching, research, and contribute to university service.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which includes:

• Starting salary ranging from $159,000 to $985,945
