Job Title Team Lead, Inventory Location USA – Chantilly, John Mosby Hwy Division Solutions Employment Type Full Time Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator has general responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities, which they are assigned to daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead is responsible for oversight of the associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product in their area in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality and to comply with all corporate and site‑specific policies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Training: Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities, Standard Operating Procedures, and forklift operation and certification. Shipping / Receiving: Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stack and pick product, coordinate outbound shipments, verify paperwork, load orders, investigate discrepancies, and maintain SOP compliance. Customer Service: Maintain professionalism, communicate with customers via phone, email, or in-person, and prepare activity reports for site management. Quality Control: Verify product and order quality, report damages, perform packing, shrink‑wrap and labeling, and report inconsistencies to the supervisor or manager. Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Execute safety protocols, maintain warehouse cleanliness, comply with ISO, OSHA, MSDS standards, and attend safety meetings. Labor Management: Direct warehouse team operations, assist with productivity sheets, payroll capture, schedule planning, and ensure adherence to quality procedures. Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain material handling equipment (sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper, scissor lift, cherry picker, aisle master, pallet jack), perform daily inspections, and keep active forklift certification. Maintenance: Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. Other Duties: Perform clerical and administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, filing, record keeping, and work evenings, weekends, or overtime as required. Supervisory Responsibilities None Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1 year experience in a logistics, distribution, or related environment. Proficiency operating material handling equipment. Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures from mild to moderate. Completion of forklift training program and active forklift certification. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Basic computer skills. RF scanner use. Basic to intermediate mathematical ability for inventory verification. English language skills (reading, writing, verbal). Strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Effective communication at all organizational levels. Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting. 2–4 years of proven forklift experience. Current or prior MHE certification. Physical Demands Occasional hand and finger manipulation, sitting, handling product or packaging materials; frequent bending; constant walking and standing; ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds; reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel. Work Environment Low to moderate noise, rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles or toxic chemicals.
