Senior Accountant

Harmer has partnered with a large, established manufacturing organization looking to add a Senior Accountant to its team. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to both finance and operations and is a strong opportunity for someone looking to build on a solid accounting foundation while gaining deeper operational and manufacturing experience. Opportunity Highlights High visibility across finance and operations leadership Broad accounting role with meaningful exposure to the business Opportunity to partner directly with operational leaders rather than sitting solely within corporate accounting Strong internal growth potential with a large, established organization What You’ll Be Doing Own key components of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and financial analysis Review financial results for accuracy and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies Partner with operations to understand plant performance, cost drivers, and financial results Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory, production activity, and operational variances Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-savings initiatives Investigate and explain fluctuations versus budget, forecast, and prior periods Prepare financial reporting and communicate key results and trends to leadership Support capital projects, fixed assets, and capital spend analysis Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, operations, and corporate accounting Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting Support audit, compliance, and internal control requirements What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Approximately 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred Big 4 or other public accounting experience is highly valued Manufacturing, plant accounting, standard cost, inventory, or cost accounting experience is highly preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand the “why” behind financial results Proactive, polished, and comfortable working directly with both finance and operational leadership #J-18808-Ljbffr Harmer
