Chemical Operations Manager

HotFoot Recruiters is partnering with a growing high-purity chemical manufacturer supporting the semiconductor industry to hire a Chemical Operations Manager in North Phoenix, AZ.

The Operations Manager will oversee the overall team responsible for ISO tanker transportation and high-purity chemical transfer activities at a major semiconductor facility.

This position will manage staffing, schedules, safety, training, operational performance, and coordination between Team Leads, Operators, Drivers, customer representatives, and internal leadership.

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
On-Call: Required based on operational needs

Qualifications

• Previous operations management, production management, chemical manufacturing, industrial, logistics, semiconductor, or related leadership experience.
• Experience supervising multiple employees or shift-based teams.
• Strong scheduling and workforce-management skills.
• Strong safety and compliance background.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Comfortable working in an active industrial / semiconductor environment.
• Experience with chemical operations, HAZMAT, high-purity manufacturing, or tanker operations strongly preferred.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to provide after-hours/on-call support when operationally necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall chemical operations staffing and daily execution.
• Develop schedules and ensure appropriate coverage across all four operating teams.
• Supervise and support Team Leads, Operators, and Drivers.
• Coordinate training and employee readiness prior to site deployment.
• Ensure compliance with company, customer, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Monitor attendance, performance, staffing levels, and operational KPIs.
• Coordinate with customer representatives, vendors, contractors, and internal leadership.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for operational and personnel issues.
• Support incident investigations and corrective-action planning.
• Ensure site training, certifications, physical examinations, and badging remain current.
• Review operational documentation, shift reports, and safety records.
• Maintain readiness across Front End and Back End day/night operations.
• Provide on-call leadership support when needed.
