Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Provide patient care for common diagnoses such as alcohol abuse, COPD, DM, CHF, sepsis, and pneumonia.
• Administer medications including antibiotics, anticoagulants, blood, lasix, and amiodarone with precision.
• Operate specialty equipment like Pyxis, Zebra scanners, bladder scanners, dopplers, and general medical equipment.
• Float between units as required to support patient care needs.
• Demonstrate charge capability and participate in hospital orientation and unit-specific training.

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Active current or conditional Massachusetts RN license verified within the last 7 days.
• 1-2+ years of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry; first-time travelers accepted.
• Two recent references from MS/Tele Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor.
• Current AHA BLS is required; AHA ACLS is preferred.
• Flu vaccine required during the season.
• Submission of a skills checklist and up-to-date resume.
