Job ID: 114975 Location: Melbourne FL Schedule: 9/80 The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Job Responsibilities Perform a variety of more complex accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures Post and balance financial data in various ledgers such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. Check and verify transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting documents Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents Prepare checks for signature Maintain vendor files and communicate status of payments as required Identify, investigate, and follow up on vendor invoice discrepancies Enter data into accounting system and prepare reports Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent training 2+ years of directly related experience Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping procedures Strong customer service skills U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
