Step into an impactful opportunity supporting secondary students as a contract Occupational Therapist working onsite within a dynamic educational setting near Lakewood, WA. This full-time role starts as soon as possible and extends through June 23, 2027. You’ll work a 37.5-hour week on campus, directly supporting a diverse caseload of secondary students and providing vital supervision for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).

Qualifications:

• Current Washington State Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
• Fingerprints cleared through OSPI prior to start
• Experience working in school-based OT preferred
• Ability to supervise and mentor a COTA
• Knowledge of IEP process and familiarity with secondary student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group OT services to secondary students onsite
• Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and document progress
• Supervise and support a COTA in daily responsibilities
• Provide consultative services and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Promote student independence, participation, and engagement in school activities
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with state and district requirements
