The nature of our projects can be fluid and requires self-motivated individuals that are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Project team members are provided the opportunity to interact with our clients’ senior management, as well as the opportunity to enhance their skills in the area of technical competency, business development, client service, leadership, project management, and people development.Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:Performing and leading financial analysis, financial reporting, quality control, and providing financial management process improvement.Provide guidance on federal budgetary accounting and funds control and how to apply this to accounting events and general ledger entries.Apply technology solutions to accounting business processes. This includes leveraging SharePoint and Power BI to collect and visualize data to demonstrate the results of analyses and improved decision making.In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this role will support important activities that contribute to the growth of our business, strengthen internal Guidehouse operations, and create a positive work environment for all Guidehouse employees. Some of these activities include but are not limited to:Assisting in business development activities, such as identifying potential client needs and ways Guidehouse can assist, developing proposals and white papers, participating in client and internal account meetings, and moreParticipating in Guidehouse’s programs for coaching and mentoring staffAssisting in the development of learning and development materials, courses, and presentations to help Guidehouse employees expand and strengthen their skillsSupport Guidehouse programs and initiatives for recruiting top talent to the companyWhat You Will Need:An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "TOP SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearanceBachelor’s degree.FIVE (5) or more years of professional experience in an office-based environment supporting administrative, operational, and/or business functionsWhat Would Be Nice To Have:Financial Management related License and/or Certification such as the CPA or CGFM.Experience with federal budgetary principles, financial analysis and reconciliation, and the USSGL.Experience with full cycle of accounting transactions and internal controls including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.Experience with leading and providing technical direction to complex accounting challenges and providing auditable recommendations and solutions.Knowledge of and experience with Federal financial management activities, including but not necessarily limited to: federal accounting, federal financial statement audits and financial risk management.Federal accounting, including the United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL) and Treasury Financial Manual, and knowledge of Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA).Knowledge of federal financial statements.Momentum Financials, SharePoint and PowerBI experience preferred;Understanding deficiencies communicated by the auditor, tracking audit PBC requests, responding to audit requests, developing corrective action plans, and executing remediation with a focus on internal controls over financial reporting and management financial statement assertions; and,Experience working in teams to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environmentPossesses strong oral and written communication skillsHeightened attention to detail, and the ability to create and edit technical and non-technical written work products and graphical presentationsAbility to view problems from multiple angles and apply a variety of solutions to solving themAbility to participate in client-facing discussions and meetingsAbility to synthesize information quickly and learn new skillsDesire to support public sector clients with a national security missionPassionate about reinvesting in the company you work for and representing the company’s brandDemonstrates proven thorough abilities in the following areas:Demonstrates the ability to understand client needs, participate within a team environment, and communicate throughout internal and external network in a manner that allows for successful execution of tasks.Willingness to learn and participate in business development activities and internal firm objectives.The annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00.
