What you will do

The Inside Sales & Marketing Services Representative serves as a virtual sales consultant and territory manager, partnering with independent agencies to drive profitable growth, retention, and market share. Through data-driven territory planning, strategic agency outreach, discovery-based selling, and effective use of CRM and analytics tools, this role identifies opportunities, influences agent behavior, and executes targeted sales strategies that support organizational growth objectives and strengthen agency performance.

Drive profitable growth in new and total written premium, deliver segment profitability in assigned relationships through virtual agency calls and strategic engagement.

Build Territory Sales Plan to strategically determine which existing agencies to focus on. Use analytical skills and problem solving to interpret data within the agency or territory to make decisions.

Conduct primarily virtual sales calls with agents to effectively execute on Territory Sales Plan. Proactively prioritize agent sales call activity while consistently identifying gaps and messaging appetite articulation to top producing agent partners creating increased flow of profitable new business.

During agency interactions, use discovery sales skills process to identify opportunities with agents, evaluate competitor products, rates, and new programs, and recommend solutions to overcome objections and increase territory sales flow.

Develop strategies and action plans to enable agents to maximize revenue with products, services, and profit-sharing programs which differentiates the sales representative from competitors through a clearly defined and consistent value proposition.

Utilize data tools (Power BI) to monitor territory results against defined goals. Manage trends and communicate necessary revised sales strategies and territorial review action plans to achieve profitable sales objectives.

Manage agent sales planning commitments, production plans, sales call activity, and agency review process with effective use of Customer Relationship Management tools.

Execute structured sales processes including call scripting, objection handling, and competitive advantage selling.

Utilize tools such as Dynamics CRM, Talk Desk, Edge quoting, Vertafore, and Power BI for sales and performance tracking.

Additional Responsibilities

Team servicing of shared agency group.

Rollover Support, New Agency Onboarding Support, Field Support as required to minimize impact of vacancies, general support of Team Revenue strategies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Conforms with all corporate policies and procedures.

What you need

2+ years Commercial Lines Sales representative or underwriting experience preferred

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Salary Range

$72,000 - $90,000

This position also comes with eligibility for Variable Compensation Bonus plan

The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee's work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
