Production Operator Receiving

Responsibilities Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Palletizer, Blend/Filler/CIP/Mix/Packaging/Loader operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs. Clean, set‑up, operate, and monitor equipment on the production line. Ensure that the proper materials are used for each product being produced. Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks. Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format. Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required to maintain plant equipment; complete cleaning checklist once the line has completed a run. Prepare equipment for the next run to include size changes as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties. Maintain communication with other departments, supervisors, and employees and notify them of any problems or concerns that may restrict production efficiency. Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs. Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot. Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues. Additional Responsibilities Safely operate a forklift, including a standing forklift, to load trucks and move inventory from one location to another. Perform routine machine adjustments. Accurately maintain inventory records and paperwork. Assist with monthly inventory counts, year‑end inventory counts, and cycle counts as required. Accurately maintain shipping paperwork. Assist with powder sampling in accordance with U.S.D.A. guidelines. Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. 1 to 3 years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry. Certification and/or license may be required during the course of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of plant operations. Proficiency with company computer systems. Ability to operate production equipment, components, and peripheral accessories. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines. Ability to take appropriate steps to find solutions to problems. Ability to perform tasks and duties under general supervision. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
