Custodial Job DescriptionCustodial is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding areas.Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restrooms, and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space.Custodial main responsibility:Cleaning wood, tile, concrete, and carpetShampooing rugs and carpetsEmptying trashCleaning ventsDusting all surfacesWaxing and stripping floorsCleaning restroomsWashing windows and doorsSweeping sidewalksMaintaining a thorough inventoryUsing equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleanersCustodial skills and qualifications:Ability to stand and walk for long periodsAbility to lift and move over 50 poundsKnowledge of different cleaning products and toolsTime management and multitasking abilitiesOrganization skillsGood verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with minimal supervisionCustodial education: Must have high school diploma or GEDLocation requirementsCandidate must be local. - Candidate must be localBackground verificationMinimum verification requirements - Fingerprinting is not required for all positions but is required for some positions.
