Our company is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting and communications to partners, lender compliance reporting and communications, and efficient operations while leading/mentoring/training accounting staff. The qualified candidate must be able to independently reach organization goals under stringent time sensitive deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist with daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, billing, debt service, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting.
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports for management, partners/shareholders, and lenders.
• Coordinate audits and tax filings with external auditors and CPA firm, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data , identifying discrepancies, cash flow issues, or financial irregularities, and recommended corrective actions. Variance analysis and explanation.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and train accounting staff , providing guidance, answering questions, and evaluating performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial compliance, ensuring company spending aligns with organizational goals.
• Support budgeting and financial planning , providing analysis and forecasts to assist management in decision-making. Budget development and preparation.

Required Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
• Experience : Proven experience in real estate accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping; prior supervisory experience. Familiarity with cost segregation analysis, strong balance sheet accounting, depreciation and amortization, real estate loans, and tax.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and Microsoft Excel; financial reporting systems. Yardi Voyager or comparable real estate software a plus.
