Electrical EngineerThe ESAero Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of electrical and electronic systems used in related aerospace platforms. This role supports the development of safe, reliable, and high-performance systems in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities and Duties:PCB design for Analog, Digital, and Power Supply boards, ensuring compliance with IPC standards.Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop schematics and layouts for complex electronic systems.Participate in any/all stages of research & development for electrical systems and components, including but not limited to requirements definition, design, prototype, test, troubleshooting, and revision.Perform analysis, simulation, and engineering trade studies to support design decisions.Design and conduct tests of electrical and hardware systems, collect data, and analyze results.Present results of your work with technical drawings, written reports, and oral presentations to customers and senior project management.Required Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.3+ years of relevant engineering experience.Familiar with, and willing to learn PCB design using Altium for Schematic capture, layout, and documenting wire harness designs.Demonstrated technical hands-on capability with attention to detail, including soldering, wiring, harnessing, connectors, and parts fabrication.Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality.Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits.Experience with electric motor and controller/inverter theory, design, and analysis.Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Desired Qualifications and Skills:Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and/or 5+ years of experience.Familiarity in electric motor and controller/inverter theory, design, and analysis.Experience with use and applications of batteries in high power applications such as motors.Familiarity with digital communication protocols such as SPI, Ethernet, and CAN bus.Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, C++, and/or other coding languages.Familiarity with Military standards relating to the design of high-power/voltage electrical system and electromagnetic compatibility for aircraft.Comprehensive Benefits & Perks:Health & Wellness: Choose from three health, dental, and vision plans - including 100% employer-paid option covering both employees and their families.Paid Time Off: Enjoy 120 hours of PTO, 80 hours accrued plus an additional 40 hours of holiday break pay in addition to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day off.Life Insurance: $25,000 employer-paid life insurance policy, with the option to purchase additional coverage for employees and their families.Supplemental Coverage: Access optional benefits such as Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Insurance, and Critical Illness with Skin Cancer coverage.Health Savings Account (HSA): Take advantage of a tax-advantaged HSA to manage medical expenses.Retirement Savings: 401(k) with a company match to support your financial future.Paid Holidays: Enjoy 9 paid holidays throughout the year.Work Environment: A casual dress code, complimentary snacks, and a welcoming company culture.Ideal Location: Work in an area that offers an outstanding quality of life - a perfect place to live, work, and play!Company Overview:Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc (ESAero) is a leader in aerospace engineering, product development, and manufacturing, dedicated to delivering high-quality, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to the industry.
