Consults with other disciplines as may be required to coordinate patient care services.Is accountable for day-to-day operations including team member performance expectations, implementation of action plans, work processes, scheduling, and resource management to support patient demand.Oversees development of standards of care, preferred practice patterns, protocols, and clinical procedures using evidence-based practice to ensure quality care.Provides oversight, feedback, and education to ensure accurate billing, coding to maximize reimbursement, and compliance.Develops and evaluates standards for assigned units in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Maintains necessary documentation for accreditation purposes as well as operational delivery.Ensures adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment as required for units. Maintains liaison with equipment and supply vendors to maximize best practices.Facilitates educational activities necessary to enhance and maintain mandatory service, specific competencies, and continuing education programs to team members. Serves as a clinical resource to members of the healthcare team.Assists in determining fiscal requirements for budgetary recommendations. Compiles data for operational reports and analyzes progress and trends, and makes appropriate recommendations to enhance strategic effectiveness.Proactively ensures positive patient experience and provides service recovery to support putting the patient and family first.Assists in evaluation of equipment purchases to balance best practice with financial prudence.QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's degree in respiratory therapyThree years of clinical experienceRegistered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and licensed by the State of WisconsinAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistanceJob classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job dutiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:Climate controlled office or home settingInteraction with department members and other healthcare providersOccasional to frequent exposure to sharp objects and instrumentsOccasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shockPossible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agentsOccasional contact with aggressive and or combative patientsUse of computers throughout the work dayFrequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingersScheduled Weekly Hours:40Scheduled FTE:1Location:ThedaCare Regional Medical Center - Neenah - Neenah,WisconsinOvertime Exempt:YesWorker Shift Details:Days
