Jefferson Phoenix, AZ 85007 Posting Details Salary: $85,000.00 Grade: 24 Closing Date: 08/05/2026 Job Summary Conduct complex reviews of Motor Vehicle Division driver and motor vehicle data as well as individual driver and vehicle records and provide guidance and serve as a reference to staff who are conducting similar reviews. Effective reports will be written conveying review findings and recommendations; and will also assist senior management in conducting follow-up measures to ensure that recommended corrective actions are implemented and adhered to. May be required to drive a state vehicle. Job Duties Conduct complex internal reviews of Motor Vehicle Division transactions and transaction data to identify patterns of potential fraud, compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations, the efficient use of resources. Effectively communicate findings with division senior leaders and other key staff. Use statistical and research methodologies, employ information technology tools, recognize patterns in data that may lead to ad hoc or programmed research opportunities. Conduct research, develop, maintain, and execute regular routines for report and transaction review. Interpret policies, procedures, and statutes, and manage and interpret data. Prepare written reports and presentations of findings and recommendations for division leadership and prepare drafts and incident reports for referral of further investigation to internal Department law enforcement partners. Knowledge Of Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Strategies for achieving effective data acquisition, management, quality, storage, use and application. Federal and State laws, rules, policies regarding security, privacy, and management of confidential data. Statistical and business analysis, business operations, methods, and practices. Principles and practices of auditing and accounting. Computerized products used in auditing and accounting systems and processes. Google workspace. Skills In Data analytics. Software tools for gathering, compiling, and organizing data. Software tools for analysis, pattern recognition in data. Visual presentation of data and analysis. Oral and written communication. Interpersonal relationships. Writing and running data queries using SQL. Ability To Perform detailed analysis and evaluation. Draw relevant conclusions from data analysis Present analysis in written and oral/visual formats, including drafting reports and presentations. Apply and interpret federal, state, and agency laws, rules, regulations and policies as they pertain to state and federally-funded programs. Selective Preference(s) Bachelor's Degree (Business or Public Administration preferred), experience in data analysis for fraud detection and mitigation, 5 to 7 years of Business Operations/Office Management experience, government experience. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
