Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting elementary students during a maternity leave assignment starting October 19, 2026, through January 11, 2027. Use your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC to help 2nd through 5th graders near Orland Park, IL, overcome communication challenges and reach their full potential. You’ll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 28-30 students, providing vital services throughout the school week.
What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for practice in Illinois
- Previous experience working in a school setting, especially with elementary students, preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop IEPs and conduct evaluative and therapeutic interventions
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy for students in 2nd to 5th grade
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom and at home
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation for all services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and compliance activities
- Support students’ social and academic growth through compassionate and evidence-based intervention
