National Sales Manager (Produce & Refrigerated Logistics)

As a National Sales Manager, you will drive top-line revenue by leveraging your existing relationships with California’s growers and shippers. You will be responsible for expanding our footprint in the “Salad Bowl of the World” and beyond, ensuring that our customers’ most sensitive commodities move with the integrity that Allen Lund Company is known for. Key Responsibilities Produce market dominance by targeting and securing high-volume reefer and produce accounts across Central and Northern California. Drive growth across our core refrigerated and dry commodity lines—including strawberries, pistachios, broccoli, dried fruit, and nuts. Expand our reach into temperature‑controlled specialty items such as wine, cherries, beer, chocolate, meats, and cut flowers. Strategically manage and grow shipments throughout a wide geographical range—from Ukiah to Needles, CA—to ensure Allen Lund Company is the first call for California shippers. Implement Silicon Valley‑style innovation into your sales approach, using modern technology and data to benefit the customer’s bottom line. Collaborate with the San Mateo team to accelerate branch success and build long-term, multi‑million‑dollar partnerships. Required Qualifications 7+ years of proven logistics sales experience with a documented history of exceeding targets in B2B or enterprise sales. A transferable book of business focused on FTL reefer and produce. Deep knowledge of the Central California produce landscape and the unique requirements of temperature‑controlled freight. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, particularly in high‑pressure seasonal produce spikes. A self‑driven entrepreneurial spirit who builds trust and delivers results with hustle and heart. Salary: $80,000–$150,000 base (plus uncapped, non‑territory based commission opportunity).
