Member Specialist

Position Summary Sam's Club #6453, 9700 N Capital Of Tx Hwy, Austin, TX 78759-5819. Responsibilities Provide member service, maintain checkout area, and resolve member issues and concerns. Promote Sam's Club products and services, provide guidance on self‑service technology. Process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies. Follow safety standards, conduct safety sweeps, and report unsafe situations to facility management. Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs. Zone and organize merchandise, assist members in locating and transporting items, and maintain a safe shopping environment. Maintain paperwork, logs, and documentation; execute emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with security and safety practices. Assist in training Member Frontline Services associates on processes, new technology, and tool functionality; deliver new program rollout training. Identify shrink and damages; comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Communicate progress, recommend improvement opportunities, and adapt to change. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Retail experience, including operating front-end equipment such as a cash register. Experience working with mobile retail applications. Ability to work in a fast‑paced retail environment and provide excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a membership‑based retail setting. Compensation Hourly wage range: $19.00 to $27.00; actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
