Legal Context This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, for example, when running the restaurant. However, this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If you are hired for the job described in this posting, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervisions, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, making sure customers get a fast, accurate, friendly experience every visit. Some managers also lead Departments. Their responsibilities may include managing assigned Systems, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management, setting goals, delegating tasks to their teams, following up, and reporting results back to their team and other managers. The Guest Service Department Manager’s responsibilities involve ensuring crew and managers deliver a great customer experience, that sales promotions are executed well, that all service staff are trained in service procedures, and that the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service. The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers high‑quality food quickly, that food safety is maintained, that food cost is controlled, and that all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new menu items. The People Department Manager ensures the restaurant hires qualified crew, trains them well, and schedules them to meet sales and profit goals, while also ensuring crew receive recognition and motivation throughout their time working there. Qualifications Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. We’re looking for positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment and have a passion for the McDonald’s brand. Applicants must be 18 years or older to be a manager in our corporate‑owned and operated restaurants.
