About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: Seasonal Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1-year current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience License: Current active state licensure Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care CVOR Tech hospital experience - BLS - Current active state licensure Description: The role involves working in a CVOR setting. Technicians will assist in the operating room. The unit consists of 2 heart rooms with a possible 3rd. Staff includes RNs and CSTs with a focus on teamwork. The patient ratio is typically 1:1. Typical procedures performed include CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR. Candidates with ACLS certification and open heart experience are preferred. Communication with staff and providers is essential. A positive attitude and team player mindset are important for this role. On-call duties include 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month. An ECMO program is restarting. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered.
