Physician Endocrinology - Competitive Salary

Corewell Health , located in Grand Rapids, MI, is looking to add an Endocrinologist to our busy and growing practice.

\n

The Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology is home to seven Endocrinologists and two Diabetologists, who lead a multidisciplinary team comprising Advanced Practice Providers, Diabetes Educators, a Pharmacist, a Behavioral Health Specialist, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive patient services. With an extensive network of over 82 Primary Care locations, there is an imperative to expand our team. The incoming physician will provide the full spectrum of Endocrinology care, including outpatient clinic duties in Grand Rapids and regional clinics, as well as dedicated days for inpatient consultations.

Essential Functions:

• \n

  Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.

\n
• \n

  Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.

\n
• \n

  Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.

\n
• \n

  Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.

\n
• \n

  Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.

\n
• \n

  Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.

\n
• \n

  Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.

\n
• \n

  Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.

\n
• \n

  Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.

  License – Michigan MD/DO

  BE/BC Endocrinology Fellowship

\n
• \n

  Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS)

\n

  Certification - Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
