Job Details Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: 08/31/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460 - $1,540 Location: Longview, TX 75601 Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Medical-Surgical Care Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a related nursing specialty, preferably cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care Active RN license in Texas or a compact state Current BLS certification from AHA Current ACLS certification from AHA Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care for patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs in a stepdown setting Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care Administer medications and treatments using appropriate nursing protocols Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness, changes in condition, and potential side effects Document patient history, symptoms, interventions, and ongoing care accurately in the medical record Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on care plans, discharge needs, and available resources Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes Apply now to join a rewarding Longview, TX travel nursing job and make an impact in cardiac stepdown care.
