Account Manager

Position Summary The Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory, and increasing penetration of Republic Services products within that customer base. Responsibilities Effectively maintain and retain existing customers by building long‑term relationships and customer loyalty. Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the Company’s services, pricing structures, and offer additional services to existing customers. Perform contractual re‑signs and respond to cancellation requests according to the escalation policy. Communicate with customers and support company pricing initiatives. Use Salesforce daily to schedule and document all activities, capture customer emails, and minimize rate restrictions and credits. Sell the full suite of Republic Services products to increase customer penetration. Meet weekly with Sales Manager to review retention activities, progress versus goals, and key customer relationships. Partner with operations to address service issues. Represent the company at sponsored activities, trade shows, chamber of commerce events, and similar events. Preferred Qualifications Waste or transportation industry experience. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of relevant sales experience. Valid driver’s license. Pay Range $64,900.00 – $89,200.00 (locality dependent). Bonus Plan Target 30% annual reward.
