About the Role

The Senior Director, Client Strategy leads an Integrated Growth Strategy team and owns client success across a portfolio. You're accountable for client health, retention, and expansion, and for scaling a one-firm, integrated strategy across our clients.

You'll lead a team of Integrated Growth Strategists directly, set the operating standards for how IGS works, and move administrative and repeatable work to AI and our nearshore team so senior people spend their time on clients and strategy.

Our strategists sit at the center of every client relationship. They connect experimentation, paid media, analytics, lifecycle, and design into one growth plan, and they're who clients call when something needs to move. You'll make sure those plans hold together across the portfolio, coach your team to run them with confidence, and partner with leaders across the company so clients experience Cro Metrics as one team.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a small, fast-moving firm. You'll lead client conversations and step into delivery when a client has a hard strategy problem. Success here means driving priorities forward, making clear decisions quickly, and communicating them clearly.

You'll have real influence on how this role and team grow from here. We're changing how agency work gets done with AI, and we want someone who's excited to figure that out with us, build it, and grow with it.

What You'll Do

• Own client health across a portfolio: surface risk early, drive mitigations, and prevent delivery breakdowns before they land on the client.
• Strengthen senior stakeholder relationships (VP, SVP, C-suite) through clear outcomes and consistent follow-through.
• Drive renewals and expansion against a revenue target by translating results into a confident growth plan and roadmap.
• Contribute to new business through your relationships and partner with our business development team on pitches and positioning.
• Build the operating system for Integrated Growth Strategy: standards, playbooks, templates, and repeatable delivery approaches.
• Partner with the Product team to put Cro Metrics’ technology and IP at the center of every client engagement, including bringing client needs and feedback back to Product, and making sure your team uses Cro Metrics’ tools in their day-to-day delivery work.
• Move administrative and repeatable work (reporting pulls, status updates, documentation, deck assembly) to AI workflows and our nearshore team, with handoffs and quality checks that hold.
• Lead AI adoption across the team, integrating AI into planning, analysis, insight generation, documentation, and performance storytelling.
• Improve speed, quality, and consistency across accounts while maintaining strategic rigor.
• Hire, coach, and retain Integrated Growth Strategists, and grow senior strategists into future managers.
• Set clear expectations for quality, client impact, and ownership, and build a culture of accountability in a remote environment.
• Run a disciplined operating cadence (client and internal) with staffing, utilization, and margin discipline.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years in client-facing strategy or services, including ownership of a client book with retention and revenue accountability and VP to C-suite stakeholders.
• Experience directly managing a client-facing team of individual contributors, with clear examples of people you hired, developed, and grew into bigger roles.
• Agency or consultancy services experience.
• Hands-on, day-to-day use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) in your own work, and experience getting a team to adopt them.
• Based in an eligible US state (see below) and able to travel up to 25%.

You'll also bring:

• Demonstrated success scaling an integrated capability.
• Operational fluency: staffing models, margin management, prioritization, governance, and delivery excellence.
• Recent experience doing hands-on client work yourself, without a large support layer.
• Effective written and verbal communication, and decisive leadership.

Nice to Have

• Experience running delivery with offshore or nearshore teams
• Pitch leadership or new business origination experience
• Measurement understanding (attribution, experimentation, performance marketing)

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $175,000-$225,000. Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications, and may vary within this range. This role may also be eligible for benefits, which will be discussed during the interview process.
