What You'll Do:

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric hematology/oncology patients, primarily those diagnosed with acute leukemia
• Administer chemotherapy, blood products, IV therapies, and manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC lines
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret dysrhythmias using telemetry equipment
• Implement infection control protocols and patient fall prevention measures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using EPIC electronic charting system
• Maintain high standards of safety and patient comfort during high-volume blood product and medication administration
• Support patient education and ensure adherence to care plans

What You Need:

• Valid Ohio nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemo Certification (mandatory)
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient hematology/oncology nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and blood product administration
• Strong understanding of infection prevention and patient safety protocols

About the Assignment:

This position is based in the hematology-oncology unit of a leading facility in Columbus, known for high-volume blood product management and complex cancer care. The unit emphasizes infection prevention and patient safety, with flexible scheduling including potential days and nights (depending on unit needs). The first week includes a Monday-Friday day shift orientation, followed by on-unit training with a preceptor. You may be scheduled for days, nights, or rotations based on department staffing needs.
