LEGISLATIVE ANALYST

Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following:
- Serves as a Legislative Analyst, independently providing comprehensive support for administrative, legal, and legislative activities within the Legislative, Investigations, and Oversight (LIO) office.
- Performs a wide range of duties in support of attorneys and senior staff, including legislative coordination across diverse Department of War (DoW) programs and activities.
- Reviews and monitors periodicals, congressional hearing materials, bill reports, internal resources, and other publications to identify information related to DoW positions.
- Serves as a technical resource for the Defense Legal Services Agency (DLSA) Office of General Counsel (OGC) for assigned areas.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable regulations, legislative developments that impact processes, and technological tools relevant to the position.
- Prepares a variety of written products, including responses to short fused requests for information and correspondence requiring coordination across multiple organizational units.
