Accountant

AccountantWe are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to join our headquarters in Naperville. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and supply chain, while maintaining flexibility between in-office collaboration and remote work. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the close process, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will report into our finance director.Key responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracyAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPerform account reconciliations, including inventory, fixed assets, and accrualsSupport inventory accounting, including valuation, adjustments, and analysisAssist in cost accounting activities, including standard cost updates and variance analysisAssist in revenue-related activities, including invoicing and credit memo reviewsCollaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reportingSupport audits by preparing schedules and documentation for internal and external auditorsEnsure compliance with internal controls, policies, and GAAP standardsAnalyze financial data and provide insights to improve efficiency and accuracyQualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field2–5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentSolid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principlesAdvanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred)Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work cross-functionally with operations and non-finance stakeholdersDetail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityWhat we offer:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401(k))Paid time off & holidaysOpportunities for professional growth and advancementCollaborative and dynamic work environmentOnsite location: Naperville, IllinoisJob type:Inside (sheltered) 100%Exempt status / full-time / daysAverage hours: 40 hours per weekComp range: $62,150 - $82,775
