General Liability Associate

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Collaborate across departments and offices to support a cohesive team environment
• Independently manage a litigation caseload from beginning to end as part of a team
• Communicate with clients and provide regular status reports

Qualifications

Required

• JD from an ABA accredited law school and admission to practice in California
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience, including catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability matters
• Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions

Preferred

• Experience cross-examining plaintiffs and other fact witnesses
• Court appearance, deposition, and trial experience
• 2nd chair trial experience
