SUPPLY CHAIN FINANCE MANAGER (AEROSPACE)

Req ID: 1526 FLSA Status: Exempt Pay Range: $125,000 - $165,000 Position Summary This position requires knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense industry and can develop and execute cost and financial strategies to optimize supply chain performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with government regulations such as FAR and DFARS. The role involves collaboration with cross‑functional teams and senior leadership to align financial goals with program objectives. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes for supply chain operations. Monitor performance vs. metrics, analyze variances, and provide recommendations. Cost Management & Optimization: Identify and drive cost‑saving opportunities, implement Lean/Six Sigma process improvements, and develop costing models to manage supplier prices, transportation, and inventory. Inventory & Working Capital Management: Oversee inventory levels, work with Operations, Program Office, and Finance to meet demand, minimize carrying costs, and prevent obsolescence. Manage working capital and cash flow to support procurement. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure cost and financial activities adhere to defense regulations including TINA, CPSR, FAR, DFARS, and public law. Mitigate risks such as geopolitical instability or material shortages. Reporting & Stakeholder Communication: Prepare detailed cost and financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external customers, communicating key targets. Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; MBA a plus. Experience: 5-8+ years in finance or supply chain, preferably in aerospace and defense; experience with CPSR, TINA, and Lean/Six Sigma preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency with SAP systems and advanced Excel skills essential; SAP HANA highly preferred. Procurement Regulations: Deep understanding of DOD procurement regulations including FAR, DFARS, FMS, Direct Commercial FFP, FPI, T&M. Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills needed for cross‑functional collaboration.
