For information on our international network visit Job Summary Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are currently looking for an Accounting Payroll Assistant out of our Tonawanda, NY office. The Accounting Payroll Assistant supports the payroll and accounting functions by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll-related activities and assisting with general financial tasks. This role handles sensitive employee and financial information with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy. This is a full-time temporary seasonal position that will be roughly 40 hours per week from now to October, in line with our construction season. The pay for this position starts at $21/hour. Main Responsibilities

• Upload certified payroll and benefit information to the NYS Department of Labor website
• Help ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Maintain organized and secure payroll documentation and records
• Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting team as needed

Experience and Qualifcations

• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Knowledgeable of general accounting principles/procedures
• Proficient in computer and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Must be detailed and team oriented
• Maintain a high degree of confidentialiaty and accuracy
