Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and interactions.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and communicate changes to physicians, therapists, and support staff.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Document all care accurately and maintain patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN)
• ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Ability to work in an inpatient ICU setting and participate in a 12-hour day shift
• Willingness to travel for an 8-week assignment
