Weekend/Holiday Receptionist

Part-Time, Every-Other-Weekend And Holiday Receptionist

$17.25 per hour; $34.50 per hour on Holidays

Heinzerling Community is currently seeking a part-time, every-other-weekend and holiday Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our organization, you will greet visitors, operate a multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls, and direct callers to the appropriate personnel by performing the following duties:

• Welcomes visitors, determines the nature of their business, and announces them to the appropriate personnel
• Answers and determines the purpose of incoming telephone calls; screens and forwards calls in a polite and friendly manner
• Receives and delivers messages or transfers calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
• Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with the address, directions, and general information
• Monitors visitor access and issues visitor badges when required
• Issues temporary badges to employees
• Follows established receptionist procedures in case of fire, severe weather, or other emergencies
• Assists with special projects upon request
• Participates in initial, required, and ongoing staff development trainings and in-services

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent attendance, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to speak and act with a friendly, patient, and pleasant demeanor
• Ability to speak clearly and distinctly (for answering the phone and paging over the intercom)
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with email, Word, and Excel is helpful
