Real Property Supervisor The State Highway Administration's Office of Real Estate (ORE) in Kent County is hiring a Real Property Supervisor—open to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications. Selected candidates will fill the current vacancy and may be considered for future openings in this classification. Responsibilities The Real Property Supervisor assists the Real Property Manager of the District 2 Real Estate Office with all acquisition activities. This includes supervising Real Property Specialists and Consultants, purchasing property for public use (e.g., road widening, bridge construction, environmental mitigation, noise wall construction, and other state needs), and managing projects on a full‑time permanent basis. Statewide work assignments and occasional overnight travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Up to four years of professional real‑estate experience may substitute for the degree on a year‑for‑year basis. Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in acquisition, relocation assistance, or property/asset management services, including one year as a project manager, lead worker, or appraisal review experience. U.S. Armed Forces service may substitute for the required education and experience on a year‑for‑year basis. Preferred Qualifications Excellent written and oral communication skills. Special Requirements May be assigned statewide duties, including overnight travel. Must be willing and available to work day or night as required.
