CFO / Controller — Southern California Commercial Real Estate

Our client is a well established, privately held commercial real estate developer and investor in Southern California. With more than 1,000 acres developed to date, the firm has delivered over $500 million in completed commercial real estate projects across the region. They own and operate a multi-tenant business park and also provide third party development and consulting services to landowners, brokers, and investors. This is a small, tight knit team where the right finance leader will have real visibility and direct access to leadership.

Hybrid role, four days a week in office for the first 90 days while getting up to speed, then mostly remote after that. Compensation up to $350K depending on experience. Reports directly to the President.

What You'll Own:

• Full financial reporting and oversight for the company and its business park holdings
• AP/AR oversight, largely managed through QuickBooks
• Payroll, benefits, and HR administration through ADP
• Insurance management
• Loan maintenance and primary banking relationship
• Getting up to speed quickly on multi-tenant property accounting

Ideal Background:

• Home building, construction, or real estate/property management finance experience
• Senior Controller or CFO level, from a property management company or similar environment
• Comfortable stepping into a hands on, do it yourself seat at a small company
• High integrity and steady temperament, this is a close knit office
