Supervisor Supply Chain Logistics

Job Description Summary This position is responsible for 24/7 oversight of operations to provide safe patient care support by ensuring the availability of supplies, equipment, and linen needed for the preparation and delivery of care. It includes direct supervision of team members, coaching, mentoring, training, and education of both new and tenured staff. The role requires problem‑solving skills to address issues and achieve successful outcomes while potentially covering multiple logistics and supply areas depending on the size of the care site. Responsibilities Supervise all systems necessary to process, maintain, and deliver supplies, linen, instruments, and equipment required for cart replenishment and specialty carts. Provide direct supervision, training, direction, and coaching to associates, ensuring accurate and complete stocking requirements. Maintain KPI metrics, visual management, and department goals, collaborating with management teams across campus service lines to plan, design, and implement process improvements. Oversee staffing levels, resolve emergent staffing issues, and conduct random audits to ensure productivity and quality of service. Provide daily support to campus associates, taking a lead role in logistics coordination for the designated campus, including free‑standing ED. Troubleshoot operational issues across the supply chain continuum and participate in their resolution. Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency in all job duties as part of a High Reliability Organization (HRO). Information Security Maintain confidentiality of passwords and security devices. Ensure privacy and security of information entrusted to care. Use company assets only for approved purposes. Adhere to all information privacy and security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. Report security incidents promptly to the OhioHealth Information Security Officer. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 3 to 5 years of related experience. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to understand financial impacts related to supply chain functions. Ability to work in a moderately paced, ever‑changing environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Experience 5 or more years of experience in surgery, linen, receiving functions, stocking, and operations. Attributes Ability to maintain composure in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks. Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software (e.g., Workday, Microsoft Teams, EPIC).
