About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Step-Down – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM). Typically works every third weekend and covers one holiday per contract period, subject to change based on census and staffing needs. Minimal on-call requirements; rare call days may be requested based on fluctuating census or staffing.

Highlights:

• Specialized cardiac step-down unit caring for post-op open-heart patients, heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and medical-surgical step-down patients
• Epic EMR system in place
• 13-week contract with potential for floating to other units during low volume or coverage needs
• Occasional ventilator patient care may be required based on patient acuity and staffing requirements
• Professional development opportunity in a high-acuity cardiac care environment
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of three (3) years cardiac step-down experience required
• Experience with open-heart post-operative patients (required)
• Experience with heart catheterization recovery and cardiac drips
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Comfortable providing care to ventilated patients when needed
• Flexibility to float to other units as required
