This position will manage core accounting functions, support financial compliance, and provide timely financial information to leadership to support sound business decisions.**Responsibilities*** Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.* Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of accounting records.* Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.* Monitor and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, reporting regulations, and accounting standards.* Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory agencies as needed.* Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements.* Support department managers and company leadership by providing financial reporting and operational insights.* Assist in developing and implementing accounting process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.* Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.## Qualifications**Who We Are Looking For*** Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.* 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities preferred.* Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).* Experience managing general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.* Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.* Familiarity with federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.* Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.* Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.* Manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience preferred.* Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.**What We Offer*** Medical, Dental and Vision Health Insurance* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* Paid Parental Leave* 401k with a 4% Employer Match* Paid Time Off* 8 Paid Holidays* 1 Floating Holiday* Birthday – Paid Day Off* 5 Paid Sick Days**Equal Opportunity Employer**Cleveland Electric Laboratories (CEL) is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace.
