About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Operating Room at Northwell Health is responsible for providing age-specific care to patients, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Highlights Location: Manhasset, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Conduct patient interviews and assess health status across multiple systems. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic and psychosocial health status. Develop individualized patient goals and coordinate care activities. Maintain safety precautions and ensure patient needs are met. Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately and safely. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Collaborate with care team members and assist physicians during procedures. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and document outcomes. Perform related duties as required. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date. Licenses & Certifications: Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
