We are looking for a Mechanic / Shop Foreman to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing various vehicles, trailers, and small engines and manning our shop and lot on a daily basis during the installation season. Our season typically runs April - November.
Responsibilities:
- Repair automobiles, trailers and small engines for digging and fencing equipment
- Perform routine vehicle and trailer maintenance
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the workers
- Maintain order in shop and lot
- Accept orders of material and communicate inventory levels with management
- Learn to use specialized concrete and routering equipment (training will be provided)
- Typical weekly hours are 40+ and we do not limit overtime
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic - certification or degree not required, but must have first-hand mechanic experience
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have plenty of initiative to learn also be willing to become DOT-mechanic certified
