Spanish-English Simultaneous Interpreters

Job Overview The Interpreter provides simultaneous interpretation for a variety of on-site conferences, including but not limited to medical, artificial intelligence, educational (K-12 and university courses), and other types of events. The Interpreter ensures effective communication by converting spoken language accurately and fluently from Spanish to English and vice versa. A commitment to providing exceptional customer experience, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering a spirit of teamwork within the booth is essential for this position. Job type: On-site (in-person) Location: El Paso, TX Schedule: Typically during regular business hours (8 AM - 6 PM), including some Saturdays. Appointments are based on client needs and can range from 1 to 4 days in a row, with multiple conferences in a month. Your background and experience Work Experience: 1+ years of simultaneous interpreting experience. Certifications: Desirable. At least a high school diploma or equivalent. For Certified Interpreters: CMI, CHI, CCHI, Interpreting diploma from an interpreting school, NBCMI, 40-hour medical interpreting course or college degree. Skills: Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish, with a preference for native-level fluency. Professional-level simultaneous interpreting skills are required.
