Business Development Coordinator - New York, Boston, Washington D.C

The Business Development Coordinator supports initiatives across practices. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role contributes to the development and tracking of new business and the expansion of client relationships by maintaining proposals and pitches, coordinating content and events, and conducting market research. The Coordinator works closely with attorneys and business professionals to ensure consistent and effective execution of business development activities. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Business Development Collateral and Submissions Support development and maintenance of business development materials including brochures, one-pagers, presentations, and experience tracking. Track legal directory and award submissions under guidance of BD managers. Proofread and format practice descriptions, attorney biographies, and similar materials. Track and synthesize matter outcomes across supported practices to identify and elevate key deals, client milestones, and strategic wins for internal and external visibility. Support the publication of alerts, advisories, and other client-focused content across internal and external web platforms, in coordination with marketing and technology teams. Assist in maintaining the group’s web presence, both internally and externally. Client & Industry Research and Tracking Collaborate with research services to generate reports on new business opportunities. Track new and existing client opportunities in CRM. Support analysis of relevant data to provide recommendations for client development. Proposal & Pitch Development Assist in the preparation, submission, and tracking of proposals and new business pitches. Contribute to drafting responses for RFPs, working with attorneys and BD team members. Maintain pitch records in CRM and coordinate follow-up tracking. Event & Sponsorship Coordination Collaborate with BD team on event and webinar logistics including agenda and program material development, speaker coordination, attendee tracking, follow-up, and onsite support, coordinating with events and marketing teams. Support the execution of strategic sponsorship and partnership opportunities. Team Support Provide project and administrative support to Associate Director, BD Managers, and Specialists. Collaborate with other coordinators and team members on cross-functional initiatives. Assume additional responsibilities as needed. Note: This role requires 60% in-office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time. Flexibility to work overtime required. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in business development or marketing in a professional services arena (e.g., law, accounting, or consulting). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities with excellent attention to detail. Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, enthusiastic attitude. Creative problem-solving skills and sound reasoning ability. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to collaborate professionally with colleagues at all levels. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity, discretion, and client service orientation. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn new software and applications, including AI tools for communication and analysis. Flexibility to work overtime when necessary. The salary range for this position in the Boston/DC office is $60,000-$75,000, New York office is $65,000-$80,000. This position is bonus eligible. Physical Demands This position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time and the continuous operation of standard office equipment, such as computers, keyboards and phones.
