Bid Contracts Manager I

The Bid Contracts Manager is a vital member of Nalco Water & the Government Center of Excellence, responsible for overseeing the State & Local Government full contract lifecycle, from drafting and review through negotiation, execution, compliance, renewal, and closeout. This role works closely with legal, procurement, finance, regulatory and business stakeholders to help ensure contracts align with organizational objectives, mitigate risk, and meet applicable policies and regulations.Location: Open to candidates in the Greater Chicago / Naperville area or remote candidates based in the US close to a major US airport willing to sometimes travel to Naperville, IL and St. Paul, MN.What You Will Do:Evaluate contract terms and conditions to identify legal, financial, operational, and compliance risksPartner with internal stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Finance, Risk Management) to ensure contract language supports business needs and company standardsMaintain contract templates and documentation for consistency and efficiencyTrack key contract dates, deliverables, milestones, renewals, and obligationsMonitor contract performance and support issue resolution related to scope, service levels, pricing, and complianceEnsure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policiesProvide support, ad hoc reporting, and analysis to internal partners and customersStays up to date on Ecolab innovation and comprehends its fit within existing customer baseDrive process improvement and recommendations to strengthen contract administration & governanceMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related disciplineMinimum 4+ years of applicable experienceAbility to handle multiple tasks, effectively prioritize to meet deadlines, and work with a sense of urgency.Strong communication skills to navigate daily conversations with field and sales leadershipProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to learn Contract Lifecycle Management softwareAbility to work independently and with limited supervision/direction.Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust demonstrate overall business acumen and ability to deal with ambiguity.Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong knowledge of contract terms, negotiation practices, and risk management principlesExperience working with contract lifecycle management systems or document management toolStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience working with Public Sector MarketStrong knowledge of contract terms, negotiation practices, and risk management principlesExperience with writing & compiling detailed proposals.Annual or Hourly Compensation RangeThe base salary range for this position is $107,600.00 - $161,500.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms.
