Contract           : 6 Months, with potential for extension
Pay Rate           : $27/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an entry-level Research Associate I to join an independent team within the PHCS group . This role will support the development of early-phase assays prior to their transfer to CAP/CLIA-certified laboratories for clinical trials.

The Research Associate I will perform laboratory experiments, support research and manufacturing activities, prepare technical documentation, analyze experimental data, and assist with basic computational biology tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory research, development, manufacturing experiments, and other scientific activities supporting project objectives.
• Design, execute, document, and interpret experiments under appropriate guidance.
• Prepare technical reports, protocols, experiment summaries, and quantitative data analyses.
• Present experimental results and discuss findings with department and project teams.
• Maintain familiarity with relevant scientific literature and apply appropriate scientific knowledge to assigned projects.
• Follow applicable GMP, GLP, Design Control , and other regulatory and company requirements.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, electronic files, and experimental documentation.
• Take ownership of assigned experiments and independently execute laboratory activities as appropriate.
• Assist team members with basic computational biology activities, including running scripts and reading basic code.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to support project timelines and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• 0–2 years of relevant laboratory, research, or industry experience.
• Hands-on laboratory experience through academic, internship, or industry settings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
• Ability to communicate experimental results clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Customer-facing experience in a retail, restaurant, service, or similar environment.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computational biology experience.
• Familiarity with reading code and executing scripts.
• Understanding of laboratory documentation and regulated environments.
• Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or Design Control principles.
